CONSUMER Energy Solutions (CES), leading energy efficiency company in south Wales took home two wins and one runner-up place at the Wales Energy Efficiency Awards 2024.
In the ceremony held at the Cardiff Marriott Hotel on Friday (July 5) CES was named Solar PV Installer of the Year, Insulation and Fabric Installer of the Year, and was a runner-up in the Renewable Heat Installer category, taking them through to the National awards in Birmingham.
The Energy Efficiency Awards are held nationally every year and recognise the best practices across the energy efficiency industry.
These wins mark a significant milestone for CES being its first award win in the solar category since introducing solar panel installation to its fleet of services just 2 years ago.
This is also the second year in a row that CES has been named Regional Insulation and Fabric Installer of the Year.
The company, which has permanent bases across Wales and the south west, has a workforce of more than 500 people after a record breaking recruitment period in January of this year, welcoming 96 new team members in the month alone, and supports customers in energy-proofing their homes to reduce their carbon footprint and ultimately, their energy bills.
Commenting on the weekend’s success Sal Furreed, Operations Director at Consumer Energy Solutions, said: “We are honoured to have been recognised in these categories following such a fantastic year for CES, especially to have been recognised in our first solar category. We could not have done this without our incredible staff members who work exceptionally hard all year round.
“It’s an incredible privilege to have been recognised by the prestigious awards, and we see this as an opportunity reflect on our work this year in lowering carbon emissions and tackling fuel poverty, and think ahead to how we can continue to improve and deliver our services.
“I would like to extend a congratulations to all those who were nominated and placed at this year’s regional awards, and we look forward to the nationals in Birmingham.”
