What is solid wall insulation?
Solid wall insulation or internal wall insulation is the installation of insulation to the interior face of external walls to reduce heat loss through the walls. Vertical timber studs will be erected in front of the wall at 600mm centres. The insulation will then be inserted between studs, and a vapour control layer will be fitted before the plasterboard is fixed and finished. The plasterboard is then skimmed and plastered, ready for you to decorate.
